Relief Society Sunday Message

I invite you to consider the promises and covenants you make with the Lord, and with others, with great integrity, knowing that your word is your bond.

Elder Rasband (https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference/2019/10/29rasband?lang=eng)

Our word is our bond and we were given an amazing example of what that means when Christ came to the Earth promising to do the will of his Father. He taught through his example and then in the end followed through on one of the greatest promises ever made. He suffered for our sins that we may live again.

Nephi also made a promise that he would “go and do”, which as Elder Rasband has reminded us is the youth theme for 2020. He reminds us that to “go and do” means “rising above the ways of the world, receiving and acting on personal revelation, living righteously with hope and faith in the future, making and keeping covenants to follow Jesus Christ, and thereby increasing our love for Him, the Savior of the World.”

There are so many more great insights in this talk, I invite you all to watch or read it again. I think that the sisters in this ward are great examples of faithful disciples that “go and do”. I see and hear every day so many wonderful ways that you all have been inspired and acted on the inspiration to help and lift those around you. Even during these hard times when we are not together and are staying home, you all have proven that cannot stop the work from going forward and there are still ways to serve. I want you to know that we as a presidency love you and miss you and are thinking about you every day. We are inspired by you all daily and appreciate everything you wonderful ladies do. Please reach out if you need anything and we hope to be together again soon!
