Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers and future mothers out there. This has always been one of my favorite holidays. Each year I reflect on my mom and the things that she taught me and the things that I have learned.

My mom was and is always there for me. As many of you know I am a baseball junky. I eat, sleep and drink baseball. From the age of eight until about 50+ she was at most, if not all of my baseball games and then later my softball games. She cheered me on, and she was there to comfort me after a loss. (I am a very competitive person). She has supported me in all of my callings in the church and many other endeavors throughout my life. My mom is the best friends a boy like me could have.
Whenever I wanted a buck or two I always asked mom. When I wanted to go somewhere I asked mom. When I wanted to borrow the car I asked mom. I will bet that many of the members of our ward have had similar experiences in your lives. We are all a bunch of mama’s boys and mama’s girls.
We have many moms and future moms in the ward whom I have the upmost respect for. You are, and you will be great moms. Thank you for all that you do.
In closing I found a quote that I would like to share. It is a baseball quote that fits my life and I am sure many others.
The baseball field; “The only place on earth where you can hear a mother scream at her child to get dirty. “
I hope that all of you mothers and mothers to be have a great day and know how much we appreciate you and that your children “get dirty. “
I have asked a couple of our young men to share their thoughts on this Mother’s Day.

Moms are amazing. They are always there for us, love us, care for us, and always want to help. For as long as I can remember, my moms always been there for me. Through all the rough times, and the good. Whenever I have gotten hurt, she has always been there for me. Moms always want to help us be the best person we can, and support us in all that we do. I am so glad that I have the mom that I do, and for all the moms in our ward. They all have played a role in my life and I am so thankful for that. Happy Mothers Day to all of you, and thank you all so much.
